Why it matters

The bigger picture

No goal can be achieved alone; cooperation between the public sector, private sector, civil society, and international institutions is the driving force of sustainable development.

Sharing knowledge, experience, technology, and resources forms the foundation of capacity-building, especially in developing countries.

The 2030 Agenda does not treat Partnerships for the Goals in isolation from the other sixteen goals. Progress depends on inclusive policies, reliable data, long-term investment, and cooperation between public institutions, civil society, academia, and the private sector. Connecting local action to measurable outcomes is therefore essential for turning the global framework into lasting change.
