Good Health and Well-Being

Why it matters

The bigger picture

Physical and mental health underpin a person's ability to participate in education, work, and society. Mental health awareness and access to preventive care among young people is an increasingly critical issue.

From maternal and child health to non-communicable diseases, early intervention across this broad spectrum directly shapes long-term social well-being.

The 2030 Agenda does not treat Good Health and Well-Being in isolation from the other sixteen goals. Progress depends on inclusive policies, reliable data, long-term investment, and cooperation between public institutions, civil society, academia, and the private sector. Connecting local action to measurable outcomes is therefore essential for turning the global framework into lasting change.
