A shared future shaped by 17 goals.

The 2030 Agenda

Five pillars: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, Partnership

The United Nations frames the 17 goals around five areas of critical importance, known as the "5 Ps". They describe the shared ambition behind every individual target.

People

End poverty and hunger in all their forms, and ensure that all people can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality.

Planet

Protect the planet from degradation through sustainable consumption and production, sound management of natural resources, and climate action.

Prosperity

Ensure that all people can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives, and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.

Peace

Foster peaceful, just and inclusive societies free from fear and violence — there can be no sustainable development without peace.

Partnership

Mobilize the means required through a revitalized global partnership, built on a spirit of strengthened global solidarity.
