Digital infrastructure and innovation capacity are key to closing regional development gaps. Access to finance and technology for small-scale enterprises supports sustainable growth.
Increasing investment in research and development accelerates economies' long-term transition toward higher value-added production.
The 2030 Agenda does not treat Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure in isolation from the other sixteen goals. Progress depends on inclusive policies, reliable data, long-term investment, and cooperation between public institutions, civil society, academia, and the private sector. Connecting local action to measurable outcomes is therefore essential for turning the global framework into lasting change.
