Why it matters
The bigger picture
Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring equal opportunity. Non-formal education, vocational skills, and digital literacy play a decisive role in preparing young people for a changing world of work.
Equal access at every stage, from early childhood education to higher education, is one of the most effective ways to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty.
The 2030 Agenda does not treat Quality Education in isolation from the other sixteen goals. Progress depends on inclusive policies, reliable data, long-term investment, and cooperation between public institutions, civil society, academia, and the private sector. Connecting local action to measurable outcomes is therefore essential for turning the global framework into lasting change.

Goal 04 is made up of 10 official UN targets in total. Below are the ones most directly related to our work.

By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education.

By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development and pre-primary education.

By 2030, ensure equal access for all to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education.

Substantially increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
